Default Which Wire Set Would You Buy?

I have 3 to choose from at the local AutoZone. And I am not looking for top dollar, just want to know which you would buy. (or which are crap and run away from):

Bosch Wire Set (Part Number: 09789) for $35.99

Duralast Wire Set (Part Number: 8140) for $25.99

MSDWire Set (Part Number: 5532) for $44.99

Given "only" those 3 choices, I'd get the MSD set.

Yeh, Zman. I trust your advice. And I really don't want to pay more than $45.

Either way, you should route them according to the TSB . And if I were you, I'd shop around and get a set of Standard Motor Products wires. The MSD are better than those other choices you posted, but your paying extra because it says MSD on them.

Well the standard MSD set would be better then any of those, the best set .....IMHO..... is the MSD 8.5mm Red Super Conductor wire as it only has 40-50 ohms per foot resistance and they hold up to high heat like headers. I haven't found a better set so far personally, and it's all I ever buy. They stand by their product and they work great for our engines. I couple them with Champion Copper plugs gaped at .040 and replace the plugs each year or 15k miles and wires at 60k. Cap and rotor I replace at 60k and get upgraded brass contacts.

The standard Universal MSD set you can buy in Auto Zone and many other stores off the shelve are only a 8mm set and they are totally different then what I am talking about as they have like 400 ohms per foot resistance, yes that means those 45 dollar wires your talking about.

I agree. They are about $82 at Summit Racing. A little higher at Autozone (but I got the AZ store manager to match price. my wife says I am supporting the local store...) Sometimes it pays to spend a little more if you can, they will provide better performance and longer life. You will be happier in the long run.

I just bought a single wire ($4.86) to replace my damaged #7 wire (of course it is the hardest wire to get at. Will re-wire the entire system based on the TSB.
