Went out this morning and it started up just fine. Makes me nervous. Must be some kind of gremlin in that computer.

Check that.
Got about a mile down the road and it stalled. Pulled over and tried to start. Cranked, but no fire. Jiggled the PCM wires and it started, but was sputtering. Like it was off time. Tried to start two more times and finally it fired up as if nothing happened. Went half mile back home and it did the same thing. Rap-rap on the PCM and after 3 or 4 attempts it fired right up.

Eventually made it home. Exhaust smelled really lean.

My guesses are that the computer is done or there is something clogging the fuel filter or pick up.

Thoughts?

Check all the connectors at the PCM, if you haven't already...... make sure they are clean and tight. (check the pins on the PCM too....) If it still does it after that, sounds suspiciously like an internal failure in the PCM.
