Default rust repair

I'm trying to fix the rust on my truck rite now and I'm looking into a few options. I have rust mainly over the drivers side rear fender that has spread like crazy since i bought it and now it pretty bad. I was going to replace the hole side of the bed put drilling out all those welds and gluing back in im not feeling. I dont have a welder or access to it. if I could get one that ran off 120 volts cheap I would. But most are 220. I sanded down to bare metal but i have to rust holes that have gone to the support behind them on the side of the bed. Could I just spray a rust stopper like POR 15 or even the rustoleum rust stopper product or any other product over it? will it work? or should i cut it all out and go from there. trying to do this without a welder. I was thinking fiberglass mesh or these bond fiberglass type patches to put over the rust holes and then use a good filler to smooth everything out. Any reccomendations on what to use. I bought the bondo gold. What about these patches? go with fiberglass patches like fiberglass drywall tape or metal patches or what? thanks guys. this is my first time trying any of this.

A welder is rather a handy toy to have around.... I have seen 110 volt wire welders at Lowes.....

I am out of date on auto body products, but I am sure there are adhesives on the market that will let you glue a new box side on your truck. Metal to fix metal and fiberglass to fix fiberglass the two don't mix well.

This is the only product that I have used and it works very good, but $$$$$. I am sure there are cheaper and better pocucts out there.

same thing on my dodge. i grinded the rust off and sanded 2 inches up the fender. the i formed sheet metal fit in it. dont gotta be perfect. then you fiberglass over the metal, fiberglass cloth' then another layer of biber glass. wait 2 1/2 hours then you can spread bondo over it and sand it till its nice and smooth then hit it with rustoleum primer, then paint. hope that helps.

CRAIGSLIST! People are always selling welders on craigslist. Make sure you find a MIG welder you dont wanna be doing bodywork with an Arc welder. Things will get messy in a hurry.
