Talking 1998 Dodge Ram Headers

Okay so I have a 98 dodge ram 318 4x4, I'm looking for headers for my truck. I was wanting to know if the headers for the older 318's would fit my truck?? If not let me know what route you guys would go or recommend. Thanks!!!

I'd prefer longtubes, but doesn't matter. And like 300-600.

Pacesetter makes some good longtubes in that price range. If you want them coated, it start getting toward the upper end of your scale. Others also make them, but, they START at the upper end of the scale.....

Better? Sure, Gibson makes some really nice ones, but, you pay for those too..... Pacesetters are inexpensive, and reasonable quality. They are a bit hard to find for the 2nd gens now days..... most everything is for the Hemi.....

That's what I was running into. That's why I asked if older 318 headers would fit cause there seems to alot of those.

I don't think there is a difference between 5.2 and 5.9 headers... not sure if there is a different mounting pattern between the old LA style, and the 'newer' magnum style heads. I think the problem you would run into trying to use headers for the older trucks would be more fitment issues with things being in the way, than anything else.....

Yeah, that's what I was wondering. I didn't want to buy something and the have to deal with the pain of having to send it back and trying to get my money back, lol.
