Default SuperChips programmer

I really hate to start a thread about another programmer, but I didn't see any feedback on a Super Chips programmer. I would buy a SCT, but I am going to get a really good deal on the Super Chip's one ($150, new in box).

Anyone have some input?

Thanks,
Tom

I just received my SCT from Hemifever. I founds several, including Superchips and SCT at lower prices, but decided against them as I was concerned about customer service. Sean at SCT had been great, and I haven't even loaded the new tune yet. As this is all new to me, the support was critical. It was a toss up between SCT and Superchips as everyone seems to have a personal preference, and I could not deterine any negatives about either of them. Of course either one appears to provide a significant improvement over factory.

Hope the Superchips meets your expectations.

You may also want to add more info on thour Dodge such as engine, trans, etc in the event you have problems, it will be easier for anyone responding to know this info and keep you from having to enter it in each thread.

Welcome to DF.

Thanks for the info. By reading the threads on programmers, it basiclly comes down to personal preference. I have a SCT for my Ford PSD, & it works great. There is a SCT dealer close by, that can make up the custom tunes with his chassis dyno, he said he can also assist on the Super Chips tunes.

BTW, my Dodge truck info, 2001 4x4 Ram 5.9 w/ auto OD trans, 4:10 gears, trans mods, kegger mod soon, cat back mod on the way.

The SCT is better than the Superchips as far as power goes. The only reason I use the Super Chips is because it also does tire size changes. If SCT included that , I'd buy one in a minute.

Darn I was looking forward to an SCT. Will the Superchips handle gearing changes as well?

For you, it doesn't matter. Your speed sensor is gear driven, so, to compensate for gears/tires, you just buy a different gear. Quick, painless, and easy. Of course, being yours is a 95, neither one will work for you. You need to replace the ECM, or send it out to have it custom tuned...... OBDI doesn't support Flash reprogramming.
