Just replace it. Looks like autozone is calling it rear abs brake sensor. I'd give you the part # . But with not one iota of info about your truck, thats hard to do.

Rear wheel speed sensor. You can check resistance across the sensor.... but, not sure what the value is supposed to be...... just replacing it is pretty easy, and they aren't that expensive. Check the connector for it to make sure it isn't just a bad connection.

It's an electrical part. E-parts don't need reason to fail..... age, where it hangs out, and other factors do 'em in quite handily.

It's a 1999 1500 5.2 quad cab. Completely stock. Rebuilt tranny.

I've read about a sensor on tranny or transfer case, could it be one of those?

That one would effect the speedo and shifting, the rear one sometimes will effect the speedo too, but not always.

And have we not already gone through this with the truck info being added to your sig or atleast profile? I don't understand why you can't take 2 minutes to add it.

Sorry man, I use mobile app on my phone. I'll log on and put together a Sig.

I looked, I got the one on the rear diff. I'll get one and swap it, see if it helps.

Your not sure I have which one, the ones on tranny and tcase?

Yea! If you fill your profile out with vehicle info, that will always be there even if you post from a damn cell phone.. At any rate, this is the part you want . Of course I would not buy a Duracrap part. Find a store that has Standard Motor products at least or get one from the dealer.

You don't like the duralast stuff? I've had good luck with it, plug wires, ujoints, idle sensor. Are they bad news or what?

Yea, pretty much junk. Most everyone here will say that. The quality control and tolerances as far a factory specs go, are usually not up to par.
