98 ram 5.2. When I have cruise control on my rpms jump up 200-300 rpms couple times a minute.

TPS....... Probably. You can check it with an Analog Volt meter, or, a scan tool that will show data.

I thought I checked it once and the readings were pretty accurate.

You checked it because you were having this problem?

Might have a vac leak in your cruise control line, but I would bet tps first as well.

I checked it a couple months ago. I was having problems with my truck surging. Sometimes when I take off it seems like it's not getting gas so if u step on it. It runs fine. Also when I put sea foam in the gas it runs a little better.

I'd check it again or replace like has been suggested. You also should clean the TB and the IAC.

While you're poking around in the engine bay you should inspect your spark plug wires for cracks. While it's normally the TPS, sometimes it is cracked insulation on a spark plug wire or two.
