I am always a big fan of things being where they should be at steady state conditions.

Yes its a 4x4. I had it aligned because I had the track bar, sway bar bushings, sway bar links replaced.

If you replace the trackbar with an adjustable, and then re-center the axle, you will also have to recenter the steering. Are we having fun yet?

A 3" kit does indeed need an adjustable trackbar or a bracket (you are just at the limit I think the bracket is 3/4" long); TGC used to sell them but I just went to there site and it is no longer listed. Until you get this fixed you are scuffing off your tires and dogtracking.

(I'm going to be a little harsh)...mostly at the people that led you down the improper path.

So I lend you my can:

1. Whomever told you the stock track bar would be fine with the 3" lift owes you the cost of the labor to remove and install new adjustable one. After that is done...hit them over the head with it. Magnitude is up to you.

2. The alignment shop owes you a no cost RE-ALIGNMENT, or better yet....a fricken refund! To not inform you have uncentered axle is negligent!

I'm no expert on this and there are more here that can speak about this topic, but this is a good amount of work considering the necessary change in front end configuration b/c of 3" lift. I'm glad you had it aligned b/c of those things that were changed, BUT it seems to indicate to me that the off center was already present given you stated in replacing OEM with in kind..... Meaning no change in that fixed length and I'm assuming you've had the 3" lift for how long up until last week?

Its like doing dishes so you have a clean plate to eat on and end up doing dishes again! I love doing things in circles... *sigh* Ive had to get 3 alignments in the last 2 years. Why not go for 4 maybe even 5. I mean its only like $100 a go right? lol

I guess my next question is (if you could make a guess without seeing exactly what it all looks like) will it be fine to drive on road as it is?

PS you both have been great help.

Bro...you've been their #1 Alignment customer. You only need to do an alignment if you really hit something hard, which would be slamming a curb or some rocks or an accident or a breakage. I feel like you've taken for a ride.....

I'm not gonna comment on whether its ok to drive. Obviously you've been driving it, but seeing the "severity" in the off center would only make a better assessment, albeit slightly.

Should be ok for a bit. Something to keep in mind though.... And to recenter your steering, all you need to do is crank on the adjusting sleeve on the drag link, shouldn't need an alignment. None of that will change.

I had quite a few steering parts replaced over the last 2 years. Plus the lift kit getting installed, that is the reason for all the alignments.

I'm beginning to wonder if I should be going to National 4WD and having a yell-fest with the individual that installed my kit and did not mention the need of an ajustable track bar. If that route doesn't work, maybe I'll go back to whoever replaced the original track bar with the OEM one again. Do ppl just look at something these days and swap out parts?

What about stopping and asking the question why? Why does this part need to be changed?

Anybody need some housework done, looks like I could use a second job :P

OK I just saw your Sig a 3" Skyjacker kit does not come with a re-locater bracket or an adjustable trackbar, They seem to think you don't need one, I have been down this exact road! thats why I ended up with a 5" lift because I was not happy with Skyjackers incomplete 3" kit.
