HHO Booster (?)
Inflation adjusted prices aren't really meaningful, and don't tell the full story. Notice how the 'adjusted' price of gas goes DOWN over several decades, in relation to 'today's dollar value', even though the 'apparent' price is pretty stable for what, 60 plus years? Back in the early 70's, when I was making 3 bucks and some change an hour, I could fill up my motorcycle for less than 50 cents..... Today...... the average 'kid income' is at best what? Even 10 bucks an hour? and HOW much does it cost to fill your tank?
How about looking at the price of gas vs. median income? Or, price of gas as a factor of percentage of disposable income?

well the point I was trying to make was it hit people pocketbooks hard in 2009 so in my driving lifetime thats when it "hit the roof" for me and many others so to speak. Which lead to people considering off the wall things like HHO generators and throttle body vortex things and stuff like that...regardless of what truth there is or isnt in the technology My opinion was it is a waste of the OP's time and money except for hobby/educational purposes... afterall stranger breakthroughs have come about from accidental or unrecognized discoveries made my those who tried something that "wasnt supposed to work" because they didnt know and the result were actually results that werent expected by the scientific community at the time... but at the same Time I wouldnt bet on anything.
Wander thru EBay a bit, have a look at all the 'performance' and 'fuel economy' doodads for sale there, that make exorbitant claims of horsepower, and fuel economy gains, with a simple two wire hookup..... Uh Huh. If it were really that easy, don'tcha think the manufacturers would have adopted them a LONG time ago? I mean, seriously, with the EPA, and government mandated fuel economy numbers, the gas guzzler tax, etc..... if any of these things actually WORKED, they would have become standard equipment long ago.
A scam, by any other name, is still a scam. They prey on peoples gullibility. Folks WANT to believe that for 29.99, and a bit of soldering, they can pick up 50 horsepower, and 10 MPG. Or a bit of plumbing, or a bit of whathaveyou. Dishonesty at its best. Its called: "Marketing".
It's funny now to consider that once upon a time 0.999/gallon was the highest price a pump could charge, and during the transition the gears in the pumps were jiggered so the price you saw on the pump was half of what you were charged.
...not statement just a question and a admission I might be off a bit on the time frame. you just saw that and interpreted it as you seen fit to make your point like the rest of my statement..
