I bought my timing set (double roller chain, sprockets, and tensioner) from here: http://mopartsracing.com/

Good service, and a better price than Hughes.

I would agree with fixing engine first. If water pump is leaking.....it is letting you know it is going to c**p out, and it will do it in a way to leave you in a bind. That would be the time to do plenum and timing as well.

I have read that they are "torque to yield" bolts. They do not appear to be, and dealership parts dept and parts list do not list as such - but I would rather be safe than sorry.

Stock are indeed torque to yield. There are various schools of thought on whether they should be re-used..... EVERYTHING I have read (from an engineering standpoint) tells me NOT to re-use them.

Possible consequences include: Not maintaining proper torque, which would lead to vacuum leaks......

you're being too kind...

I tried to re-use them once.. and just long enough to get some more.. I flooded the lifter valley with coolant.. not cool.. was a mess to clean up..

I've also heard from the horses mouth, who blew his engine attempting to re-use them.. Same thing, he flooded the engine with coolant, and it ran about ten minutes before failure..

It's $30 for bolts from Napa.. $20 or so from the dealer (go figure that one), and about $10~12 for grade 8 bolts from a hardware store and another $2~3 for red thread lock... there is NO way I would ever try to re-use TTY's..

Dodge dealership parts are crazy. On a fluke, I stopped by today to price replacement seat cover for the front driver seat. $325 for bottom - AND $1400 for the back!

For $20.00 for the set of bolts -I'd call that pretty good hedge insurance.
