I'd put it back to the radiator with the added cooler. Of course blow the rad out as suggested.

You could spray some carb cleaner or brakekleen in it first. Just make sure you blow it out good and let it dry.

ok so i decided to drop the pan and take a look. The fluid was changed a week ago. Should it be this dark so soon?

Also there were no parts or anything in the pan. Some shavings on the magnet.

There is about 1/4 of play on the band inside the pan. Is that ok?

Anything else i should look for since i have it off?

When you change the fluid you don't get it all out, so that looks pretty normal. And a 1/4" play is normal if you adjust the band that way. I'd still check it and adjust according to spec in the manual. But, if you don't have the correct tools. Leave it alone.

btw, since the pan is off, you should install a drain plug.

drain plug would be a tad cleaner..lol... Ill check out the specs for adjusting it. Thanks again
