I would say check your spider gears. But I am by far an expert on rear gears. Pretty much the one and only thing I dont get into on my truck. So my guess would be possibly be spider gears

I will have to look into it and see. It still drives good with no noise going down the highway and stuff. It only makes the noise when im just starting off and turning. I know my back breaks need new drums cause the are making a squealing noise when stopping. Something is probably broke in there or something. I have new shoes, wheel cylinder, and hardware kit on it but something aint right. Thanks for the replies...

Is there something I can do to make them stop sticking or am I up for a rebuild? I have never rebuilt a rear end how hard is it to change the clutches?

Do you know if you have a LSD or an open differential? It could be the sprider gears or the clutches. What you need to do is remove the rear inspection cover and see what happen.

It sounds like the clutch pack in the rear. (They aren't sticking, they're worn) If you're planning on keeping the truck longer than 50k miles, check into auburn gear instead of repacing the clutch pack.

Ok I will check into the Auburn gear cause I plan on keeping it. Where is the best place to look into getting an auburn gear for it?
