Default Whats everyone running in their guage pods

Im planning on getting a guage pod for my 99 ram and put a tranny temp guage in it just put rebuilt tranny in so want to keep an eye on the temp. Trying to figure out what other ones I could put in. What are you guys have in your guage pods?

Are you putting in a single gauge pod or a full pillar pod?

I don't have one in my Dodge but in my other car I have trans temp, oil temp, oil pressure, water temp. I like mechanical gauges. The factory gauges aren't that accurate.

I haven't got 'em installed yet, but in boxes waiting for me to install are:

  • Trans Temp
  • Diff Temp, front and rear
  • Tachometer (0-5000 RPM)
  • Fuel Pressure
  • Manifold Vacuum
The first three are going in the dash pod, the last three in the pillar pod. I'm using Autometer Z-series gauges because (a) I'm an old guy, and (b) for the most part, normal indications are pretty close to straight up so I don't have to think too much about them while driving. It annoys hell out of me to have gauges whose normal indication is too far away from straight up.

I only have one gauge and it's because my fat a$$ broke the stock pillar and could buy the SRT one for dealer cost.

I put a temp gauge in that I ran to the transmission. Paid a whopping $12 for it at the auto parts store, but it matches the factory gauges pretty well...

I run digital tranny temp and digital A/F ratio in the dual A pillar. Three gauges in the A pillar looks tacky (Especially when it is non performance stuff like temp/pressure sensors that come stock). I would have a tach, but someone stole my autometer.
