No problem B. And even if there is a question, you can just add a bottle of the stuff. It won't hurt anything if it's not lsd.

It turns out that I have an open diff. Are the fill holes on the actual cover? Because they are only about halfway up on the covers. So I would only be filling the diffs about halfway, is that correct?

^^ correct.

the easiest way is to just fill it until it begins to run out the fill hole.
2 - 2.5 quarts per axle is about right.

if you haven't bought your gear lube yet, walmart has it in gallon jugs for about $12. i think they have 85w90 and 75w140 (or maybe 85w140)

On the rear axle, it looks like it's a rubber plug. Does that just push out from the inside when I have to cover off, and then I can just push it back in?

And on the front, it looks like a square plug. Do I need a special wrench for this one?

Rubber plug you can just pry out. It will push right back in.

Metal plug is threaded in.

I have 6 quarts of Pennzoil 75w-90 at home. Is that cool to use in the front axle, or do I have to use 75w-140?
