Here's a pic of my 2m/440. This would be a great place for a CB but I dont know if they make them with remote faceplates like they do for ham radios...

I ran my antenna wire through a small hole I drilled under the kickplate by the back seat

As for the cable as was asked before. I ran mine through the rubber grommet that's at the back lower corner of the cab. And then ran the cable under the door still and up under the dash to the radio, no tight bends and a short cable length.

Here is a pic of the spot I'm talking about with the hole in the cab corner. Not sure if the standard cabs have it too or just the extended.

TitanOneSeven -- Much appreciated on the pictures and description. That helps a ton!!

What is under your CB? Inverter?

As for the bracket, I think people might be talking about this one, however I've not a picture of it installed.

How come no one has used the ashtray? Located closest to the dummy pedal.

You are correct sir. Its a 400w inverter, also by Cobra, and I find it comes in handy very often. And you are welcome for the pictures.

Sorry, didn't see your comment. I might have a picture on my phone I'll look when I get in the office.
