evaporative emissions
hello to all this my first post. i have a 2002 ram 1500 sport 5.9 that was missing and running like crap. after changing plugs, wires, cap, rotor, injector rings with no change i finally change intake and pelnum gaskets the miss went away. now it keeps setting an evap code (large and small). check as many hoses as i could find no cracks or brakes. is it possible that i have a couple injectors pluged in wrong? would it matter? how could i tell? i am gettin fustrated with with any info would be great

Although your body style is 3rd gen, your engine is 2nd gen, so I will move this to the 2nd gen section for ya.

Sequential fuel injection, so, yes, it does matter. Although, that would make the engine run rough, wouldn't set evap codes.
You have a vacuum leak somewhere. Need to find it. Check the lines running back to the canister.

ok so i was experimenting and i can move the front injector wiring to any pattern i want engine runs the same no missing or anything the only thing that changes is fuel mileage. evap leak is it important to only use OEM gas cap?
