I have a 94 Ram 1500 4x4 5.9L 360 with 155K on it, my CEL will come on randomly come on out of the blue when I am driving, the truck runs fine and I dont notice anything different once it comes on. As soon as I shut the truck off and restart it the CEL doesnt come back on for awhile. I recently changed the plugs, wires, cap and rotor and it is still doing it. Anyone have any insight on what it could be I would appreciate it.

No problem. If you come up with a code or two, that will help us diagnose the problem better.

 

Alright went and check it today and Im coming up with just a 33 code.

33* AC clutch relay circuit Short or open in the AC clutch circuit.

What should I look for and check with that?

 

Start the truck, and turn on the A/C, see if you have 12 volts at the compressor. If you don't, work you way back on that circuit to see where you lose it. Probably one of the pressure switches.
