Should be listed on the instructions that came with the plenum plate, if you got it from hughes. You can grab various service manuals from the FAQ section though, all specs will be listed in there.

Download the service manual , https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...e-manuals.html

And get a Hayne's from the parts store. Read the procedure in both, and do it right. When you get replies in a thread online, there are frequently small details left out. Trust me on this.

You want the plate. You can order one up from ebay for under 50 bucks.

It might not last as long as getting a new thicker plate, but if you use the steel plate along with a Felpro gasket, and cut the pan gasket bolt's shorter or buy new shorter bolts, you may get some time out of it.

the torque specs for the intake are on the top of the intake itself. the plenum itself is 48 and then 84 in pounds NOT FOOT POUNDS.

I just finished mine today. Made a huge difference. now I need to figure out why my passenger side valve train is rattling... =[

here is decent write up that I used. its for a 99 or something but it was generally the same as my 96. Only difference was the Alternator and A/c mount on mine was different and had to come off to allow the intake to come up.

whats this about a plenum plate? I reused the original and it worked fine. it was only 60k miles old though... in 60k my plenum had all but disintegrated though. holey crap... It was so bad that when I took the intake out to clean it up, I tipped it up on its side, and it started leaking out between the plate and the intake.... the gasket was literally gone...

Link is broken....

The fact that this was necessary after on 60K should tip you off that it may need it again in another 60k or so. That is the reason for the 1/4" thinck aluminum plate - to eliminate the need to do this as a routine reapir. It is a weakness in engineering thing.....

It was necessary on my truck at 50k, when I bought it.
