I want brighter headlights, will this work?

You definitely have the right idea. i think headlight relays are the way to go, no matter what you have for bulbs.

This article presumes that "100%" output is when you take power for the headlights right from the battery, which they figure to be about 13.2V on average.

"When operating voltage drops to 95 percent (12.54v), headlamp bulbs produce only 83 percent of their rated light output. When voltage drops to 90 percent (11.88v), bulb output is only 67 percent of what it should be. And when voltage drops to 85 percent (11.22v), bulb output is a paltry 53 percent of normal! It is much more common than you might think for factory headlamp wiring/switch setups to produce this kind of voltage drop, especially once they're no longer brand new and the connections have accumulated some corrosion and dirt".

That's about a 25% drop in brightness for every volt below maximum battery voltage. That's quite a bit.

Ive seen 90's model chevys with the high/low beam conversion, but never a dodge.

Also I wonder if the hd headlight harness would help out the brite box.
