Are you running off the list on page six? A lot of it will say 48R?, simply because the internals of all the 4x series transmission are about the same. Some of them are just meaner as the second number gets larger. I have an annotated list, with prices (which are probably out of date now.....) I can send ya, just a text document. PM me your email address if you want it.

My email address is chadhager03@yahoo.com and I would really like that list. (im not worried about someone stealing my email address, my whole life is on the internet anyways lol)

Thanks heyou I got it, so I think I'm just going to take that to the shop tomorrow (because i have no idea what most of that means and I'm not in the mood for homework) and see what they want to put in it first. It's call sun coast transmissions and I've heard good things about them on the Internet and they seem like good people. Wish me luck! I'm not going to give them the truck for a couple weeks because I need to save up some money so Ill research it before I hand over my savings account lol

this is the parts list that Robert (montec) put into the transmission he built for me. take this to your transmission shop and go over it with them and let them agree or disagree on each item - then just let them handle it. If they're good and know what they are talking about - you'll know by talking to them. If they have a deer in the headlights look or disagree on the benefit of replacing these parts - find another shop.

the GM solenoid is optional and you can save a few bucks with the Borg Warner.
or you can spend 200-300 more bucks on an aluminum pan.

Overhaul kit
Friction kit (green high energy clutches)
Bushing kit
Steel kit
Front band
Rear band
Aluminum accumulator piston (plastic from factory)
Sonnax Sure Cure
O/D bearing/race (sonnax update)
Low roller clutch
O/D roller clutch
Sonnax reverse servo
Upgrade the rear planet to a four pinion
Upgrade the o/d clutches to 47RE specs
RV low stall torque converter - Precision New Hampton
Governor pressure sensor
GM governor pressure solenoid
Fluid atf+4
Filter
trans cooler
check valve delete (if needed)
replace freeze plugs on rear of block (2 on 5.2, 3 on 5.9)
(customer supplied freeze plug kit (o'reillys-sealed power))
R&R transmission
warranty ?? time? mileage? parts? labor?

Thanks for the response, I swear I know Spanish as well as transmissions. They said they had a 12,000 mile/ one year warranty. I'll take that list with me as well, I'm going to go to a couple (well limp).
If anyone in south Florida has any transmission shop recommendations id love to hear it.
