Default compatible motors for a 2002 ram

I have a 2002 ram 4x4 w a blown 4.7 liter. does anyone know what other motors will mount up to that tranny, its a auto w o/d

Good question.... I think the 5.9 or 5.2 were both options as well? You have a four, or five speed auto??

Didnt the hemi's have a differnt tranny then the 46re? A better question to ask is what tranny do you have?

Didn't some of the '02's have the plain ole' Magnum in them? Or was '02 the start of the Hemi's and other smaller motor, whatever it is.

He currently has the 4.7...... I don't know what bellhousing bolt pattern those used......

Not sure what model tranny it is. It's the stock one that came in it. 4 speed auto

It has just the plain 4.7 magnum. I believe 02 was the first year of it

Probably 46RE then.... I think.... that would imply the bell housing bolt pattern is the same as the 5.2 and 5.9. I don't think the computer will be compatible though, or the wiring harness. Your best bet is going to be drop another 4.7 in there.....
