a nv 3500 might not be the best thing to put behind a 360 if you plan to mod it. if i were you id start looking for a nv4500 to put behind that 360. its a hell of a lot stonger than a 3500.

it would still be a good idea to upgrade to a nv4500 if you were to do that. theres a reason that they never put nv3500's behind a 360

it would be a good idea to do it no matter what you do with the truck, considering your looking at lift, tires, power... nv4500s are one beast of an overdrive 5 speed.

Yep theres always that issue...

Could be my fault though... 3.55's + 33's + strong running 360 + OEM replacement clutch = stupidity.

just get a center force dual friction clutch, youll never have to buy a new one again. on another note..i wish i could find a 4500 around shreveport so i could go ahead do a manual conversion to my rig

Im considering that, as well as Zoom makes a full Kevlar clutch in the same price range. Anyone got anything to say about the two?

Backwoods:

I know input shafts differ, but put it on a lathe somewhere and take 1/8" off and i see no reason why it wouldn't work. hope that helps

EDIT: I messed up on that... again... the pilot tip is the same between the HD and LD, meaning that you can run a HD in a V8 as long as you remember to buy a clutch for a V10/Diesel. doesnt seem like a downside to me
