But you can't do it with a SCT and a stock PCM.
See that's why I posted on here for any and every bit of info. I had never even heard of Megasquirt, but the idea of it is becoming a reality. I had my doubts on the SCT, but I wasn't sure, so I needed inputs

You can only put so much timing into a NA engine then it will not make anymore power.

The reason the blower and turbo guys do it is you have to reduce the timing advance per psi of boost so there is room for advancement to make more power.

They retard the timing to prevent predetonation on boosted applications. Run too much advance, and you start blowing holes in pistons.

Right, but the point of water/meth is to lower intake temps and increase octane, so you can get away with more timing and leaner AFRs and make more power.

Yep, and lets not forget intercoolers. Same idea, different method.

Mater/meth is usually more effective at heat reduction and intercoolers don't increase octane.

Yep, that's why I was trying it. Big name companies like Snow Performance even make a naturally aspirated kit. I know you can't advance it very much, but more than without WM

Here are some pics of what my setup looks like. I don't have any good pictures of the pump. I had tried a fuel pump at first and it went out on me, so now I have an actual snow Performance pump.

There are plenty of aftermarket knock sensor kits available. You could slave the water injector to come on when it detects knocking.
