That's what I'm talking about, like hose, slit the hose so you can push it over the axle. Need large diameter . Like 1 1/4 ID maybe.

Maybe this would help? Trail repair info.

Oh..the fork is forked....I'd try to wrap a hose clamp around the axles and crank 'em down.

These are kinda cool...

i plowed the 3 driveways(one being my own) out of all the people i plow for. all in 2wd, and i only got semi stuck once and it was in my own driveway, just put it in 4lo(which would be 2lo due to not having a front driveshaft currently) and i got out no problem!

I'd say he needs the 4628. And depending on where he lives, I think I have the fork from my 98 if interested.

Sorry for the hijack but I have one question, when I replace my axle seals, should I use the needle bearing or the plastic bushing for the Intermediate shaft? You can use both I was just wondering which would be better.

I would be more inclined to go with the bearing.... if you can find it.

I thought so too, however my dad is a mechanic/machinist and he mentioned that the bushing may last longer in the event of lack of lubrication. Which makes some sense... I think

A nylon bushing being rubbed by a metal axle would last longer?? That's seems kinda counter-intuitive to me...... My solution? Don't let the axle run with inadequate lubrication.
