What A/T tire works best for you?

In my expirience, wet handling has alot to do with tread pattern, as well as depth. The sipping is what gives the grip in wet, snow, or ice. Like snow tires, they have alot of sips in the tread. Larger solid tread blocks give stability, but not to good of grip on slick hard surfaces. I have Nitto Terra Grapplers right now. 1 year old and I'm getting new tires tomarrow. They werent bad at first but even after only 2000 or so miles I got stuck in my front yard in 4wd and sunk all 4 tires to the bead. My wifes old Explorer that had half bald Kumho street tires, had to pull me out. I also had trouble plowing with them. I dont like them and wont buy them again. I'm getting the snow tires on tomarrow, so I should be better off this winter. But, time will tell. New tires will come in the spring also.

Yep: The Cooper STT is the bomb for a tire, ran them for two years in all seasons, in the mountains; for a mud tire they were just plain amazing in the snow and on the ice, they get louder as they wear, I can't say anything bad about them, I will get another set at some point, well worth the $$$$. They were the best tires I have run on this truck(since new), to early to comment on my current tires for snow use.

They plain rocked in the snow and on the ice, hard packed snow they just eat through, I never got stuck with them when used right, I never had to chain up when I used them unlike my MTR with K tires. Great snow to snow contact. Just a great tire. I would be excited to get a set as well and I have new tires!
Here's a pix with the Coopers on it

Those were 315/75R16, 5" Skyjacker lift. They do not need any extra sipping. Try them the way they are before you waste your money on sipping. 45 psi in the front and 40 in the back. I really think you will be amazed just how good they are in the snow. Yep I am in the mountains lots of snow coming soon.
