Got a pointy bit for the air hammer?

I thought about getting a big ole Sledge and going to town on it, but I didn't.

Will try to cheat better on the passenger side.

And I might add that I got some DuraCrap ball joints from AutoZone, and they are beefy. $50 each with a Limited Lifetime Warranty, the limited just being no replacement in the event of misuse, miss-installation, commercial 4x4 use, etc...

Yea I personally thing the ball joints are something you should pay someone to mess with cause they are a pain. I sent my truck to a shop to get the lower ball joints replaced for 500 parts/labor. That bill should be enough explanation for how difficult ball joints can be.

Labor is all about time. They have to do just as much JUST to do the lowers, than if they would have done all four. You really should have done all four......

What sucks the most about labor is when the shop says that they can do something and the labor would be free.

I had a upper control arm break while going to work on my old S10 Blazer, towed it to the shop and the shocks were pretty much wore out, they called up and said if I get shocks the labor to install would be free, just couldn't squeeze anymore money out for new shocks.

Don't ask me how the labor would be free, cuz I don't know.

They make enough off the parts, that they can afford to do it for free... that, and the one probably had to come off anyway to change the control arm.
