I'd go steeper than that with 40's personally, I like the power lol. 5.38's would be better.

I agree, but for some reason I was thinking that the cut off in the Dana 60 is 5.13. I could be wrong on that.

Here are the specs for a Dana 60.

Cover Bolts: 10

Ring gear diameter: 9.75”

Carrier breaks: 4.10-down or 4.56-up

Pinion shaft diameter/splines: 1.625/ 10spl (early) 29 spl (late)

Axle shaft diameter/splines: 1.31-16 (early, full float), 1.31/30 (late,full-float), 1.50/35 (semi-float)

Available ratios: 3.31, 3.54, 3.73, 4.09, 4.10, 4.30, 4.46, 4.56, 4.88, 5.13, 5.38, 5.86, 6.17, 7.17,
