would the fuel pump cause this to do that?
okay so im unsure what is wrong with my truck this has been going on for about a year now and i'm getting really tired of it
when i have a 1/4tank or less it takes about 15min to start in the morning.
and its only when the truck has been sitting for about 2 hours or more
it idles really low like 300rpm or lower and if you press on the gas pedel the motor makes popping sounds and sometimes dies... and it likes smoke(which i think it just from the plenum leaking)
and in the last few weeks i be noticed it does this same thing sometimes even when i have 1/2 tank or more...
could my fuel pump be slowly going out or ? i'm totally lose even the the good ol folks at dodge have no idea what I'm talking about
i figured i'm gonna have my truck torn apart this weekend replacing my plenum and i just fixed since i'm already gonna be in the shop maybe there is something else i need to address to fix this starting problem.

You *could* do it with the fuel tank in place, although there might be some cussing involved. The fuel line inside of the fuel pump to the pressure regulator is a stiff plastic that's secured with a crimp style clamp. That clamp would have to be removed in order to replace the pressure regulator.

I actually just did this, I don't think it could be done in the truck, to hard to hold onto the hose and crimp the clamp, you can try and yes there will be cussing involved. I dropped the tank to do this, there was cussing with it out of the truck, stupid design.
did you have the same problem as i have?

yeah that sounds like way more work to remove the bed lol my trucks sits pretty talk so i'm not to worry about pulling the tank off but i just fill it up so there 34.5 gallons of gas in that thing and i don't want to drop it till its empty lol
No I had this for a problem. Bad gas, all that came out of that pos of a filter, the gas tank was clean. There are hard ways to drop the tank and easy ways, you are looking at about 3-4hrs work to clean, r&r the tank and pump, change that filter.

alright so in your opions you guys think its that pressure regulator
i thought it was something like that cause it smell likes all the fuel drains out of the lines back in the tank over night....
is this a dealer only piece or ?
