Default Governor Pressure Solenoid Q

Hey everybody been a member for as long as I've had my truck now (about 7 months, it's been love hate relationship mostly love though lol), first time posting though. I've read all eighty or so pages of MonteC's tranny thread (took about three days) and didn't see my questions come up. So here it is, I've read a lot of people upgrading their governor solenoid to the GM conversion kit with the housing and all, but I came across a Borg Warner HD upgrade solenoid that replaces the original dodge solenoid only. Has anyone used this on their valve body and if yeah, is their the same improvements seen as with the GM conversion kit. I am also doing the Sonnax sure cure, Lock up & OD solenoid w/ wiring, output sensor, accumulator spring & 4 ring accumulator piston, and check valve delete. The only difference would be that solenoid, and I'm really looking forward to getting the same results as everyone else that has done those upgrades. Reason I ask is because of cost reasons. Also wanted to thank everyone especially MonteC, for their input on that tranny thread!!

The BG part is a direct replacement, and solves all the problems the GM conversion was designed to address. You want a better pressure sensor as well, I think BG makes one of those as well.

Thanks HeyYou, I'm going to assume that BG is respectable brand then? I'm new to the transmission side of things, and am not familiar with their product. Sorry if I sound uninformed.

Ooops. that should be BW....... gonna blame that typo on tired fingers. (or, maybe low batteries in the keyboard? Yeah, that'll work too.....)

Borg Warner. Yes, they make some good stuff.
