how do i know which transmission controle solenoid i need with out pulling it first. and what is the difference w/ Lock Up Converter; w/ 4 Speed Trans or wo/ Lock Up Converter; w/ 4 Speed Trans

 

You have the locking converter. If you are going after the O/D and TCC solenoids, I think most places sell them on the same bracket. Replace them both. Its easier.

 

I think that's the only way they sell them. I've never seen them sold separately...and don't skimp and buy a remanned unit. You'll end up paying dearly in the end. Ask me how I know.

 

yeah my cel came on for p1740 after my brake line broke and cought fire and I got it back up and running. I have looked over the wires and did not find a burn spot for any of the ones to the trans so I was told that is my next step
