blown head gasket got water in my oil

Default blown head gasket got water in my oil

hey i'm looking at buying this 1996 dodge ram 1500 4x4 it has a 5.9L and it has a blwon head gasket and is leaking water into the oil

now i know i've seen this head gasket/block sealer stuff work before to fix head gasket problems..

have you guess tried any of these project

this truck is 400 dollars and it all beat up and i just figure it be fun to go out in the mud and beat up so i don't hurt my 01 wheeling it

It probably has cracked heads, not necessarily True though. That'll run you about $500

not looking to fix the truck if i buy it. i'm just looking for a cheap fix like a additive to the coolant that will seal the block so i can get a few months of fun out of the truck

and i just want to know what you guess have used in the past

Magical chemicals that appear to fix mechanical problems are pure madness. Just don't go there.

You could just replace the gaskets, that should give you a little more time

Throw some crap in it before you buy it and see if it works .

But, if it's been run with a bad head gasket, it could also need bearings in the bottom end due to watered down oil. I doubt the sealant crap will work though. It almost never does.

It's worth more than that in scrap, so I'd buy it regardless.

scrap in my area ain't up that high. price per ton here is 180 for tin
