Would you replace the post cat o2 sensor
Well I'm finally doing the plenum (pretty much everything ordered) and I found ngk o2 sensors for post cat 40 and pre cat 26 dollars, is that a good price? anyways I've read recently on a thread that the post cat actually does something, I'm planning on gutting my cat so I'm going to do the non fouler trick. I want to get the best possible mpg and power out of my moving brick so would you recommend buying the post cat? I'm leaning towards it but I'll gladly save my money and not buy something else that is pointless lol

When I did my plenum and replaced the cat I did only in the matter of I wanted to get better mpg. It is recommened to do the pre-cat but for the prices you got your o2 sensors for I would. I payed something like 56 for the pre and 64 for the post one. Notice a hair up on the mpg but nothing huge.

Damn I wish I lived in the States. Everything is so cheap down there. I had to go to NAPA and they were listed at 86 but with a discount for being a student at the college i got em 15% off.
After shipping that o2 for 38$ is now up to 100 for me.

Cheapest ones I found were on Amazon.com. I don't remember exactly what I paid but it was around $30 with free shipping for a Denso. I only got the pre cat O2 and removed the cat and have never had a code.

Go to http://www.ngksparkplugs.com and use their "Part finder" to figure out the correct O2 sensor part # for your application. Pay attention to how they differentiate them on their site and get the correct one.
NTK is the O2 sensor brand made by NGK. They work well in our trucks.
Go to amazon and search for that exact NTK part number ("NTK XXXXX").
Reap amazing savings on O2 sensors.
My last O2 sensor was about $27 and was shipped free through amazon.
The pre-cat O2 sensor is the most vital as it measures the exhaust and makes the PCM compensate for rich or lean conditions. The post-cat O2 sensor is only there to check if the cat is installed and functioning properly.

I removed my cat, but kept the sensors for practicality reasons. I get parts cheap from rockauto.com & ebay. I would advise to avoid bosch brand anything. Denso is great stuff.
