Default ABS Removal

Was wondering if anyone had done this on our trucks. I'm not really a fan of ABS systems. Iv'e removed it on other older chryslers but not sure how are trucks are set up. I'm sure the speedo is connected somehow it was my speed sensor picking up on the ABS gear on my stealth. But leaving that gear in place left the speedo working. If its easy to remove and keep the lights off with the speedo working I'd like to do it. Otherwise i'm just gonna live with it. I have the rear wheel ABS.

Also I know I will need a prop valve most likely I needed one on my stealth, and i'm running all new brake lines everywhere including soft lines.

If you only have RWAL, I suspect you could just pull the connector from the control module, and disable the whole system. If the 98 system is the same as the 96, speedo should still work. Don't know if it will turn the lights on. Worth checking anyway.

On my blazer that had 4wal, unplugging power from the abs module killed the entire system, no lights. Brakes worked normally. On the Rwal systems, there is no motor/controller. Just a module that can release pressure from the rears. So, disabling the RWAL system shouldn't require changing any parts at all.

I may do this on mine as well. Not like the RWAL is worth a sh*t.

Lol right when I found out it was just rear ABS I had a WTF moment lol. So I don't have a pump? Could I just run lines around it or would I need a prop valve if I removed it entirely. And If I unplug the module I could then see if the speedo still works right?

Unplug the module. If the light stays off, and the speedo works, that's all you have to do. Leave everything else in place.
