leaking plenum clogs cats?

yeah it plenum leaking bad had like half quart of oil in there lol....

i plan on changing out the vavles later after winter when i do my hs 1.7 rr i plan on doing the vavles and new springs with em.... i kinda wish i could just buy a new motor lol this thing keeps losing power when i bought it it would smoke the tires from a dead stop and now it takes for ever to get to 60mph lol

I'd hold off on the motor until after you've done the plenum fix then seafomed it (and preferably had a new timing chain on there with a tuneup of the electrical compnents). You may find that you no longer wish you had a new engine and would be stoked with all the cashola still sitting in your wallet.

Though to be sure the motor is worth saving before dumping too much time and energy into it doing all that, it is highly recommended to run a compression test to try and determine ensure there is good ring seal, no cracked heads, and the valves are sealing well.

once along with the plenum i'm gonna do a tune up plugs cap and rotor(wires are good i repalced them last year) and i'm gonna do seafoam....

t chain will be in the summer along with water pump and 1.7 roller rockers... and then i'll do vavle seals then too

hey ugly 1 read my thread named i started my plenum today ugh.... you will get a loaugh at what i ran into with takeing my intake off my truck
