I dont want really loud exhaust thats why im gonna get a electric cut out . but i want it so if i give into it people will look. Whatever i am going to get is legal so the cops can walk right back there car i have a lift too but its legal to along with my tires im putting fenderflares on and they cant mess with me. I am 16 but not like most younger people around here that have glasspacks or straight pipes i actually went out and am spending 600 on exhaust instead of 30 or 60 dollars.

If whatever you are going to get is legal, that pretty much leaves the electric cut out off the table in most places......

IDK but i believe that in MD it may be legal i will check into that before i put one on. I know you cant have them opened up on the road but its so when you get to the track you can open it up. I hate all these laws like you cant have tru duals. Wouldn't 2 cats and 2 mufflers be more GREEN then 1 cat and 1 muffler?

I have never heard of a law banning dual exhaust, as long as it passes emissions...

In MD i don't think its emission testing its pretty much do you have a cat. I was told by a local mechanic that if your cat is not in the stock place in your exhaust it is not legal and if you have more or less it is not legal. But if anyone else knows for sure i would love to know..... because tru- duals are so much better....

Keep in mind "legal" also varies from one inspection shop to another

For example: In Louisiana to be legal you must have a cat, as well as the tires be in good shape etc blah blah blah

I asked around and found out from some buddies in my shop that a specific inspection place was the "right" one to go to, as my truck is definately not, well, it doesn't have a cat. So while the state law calls for a who-knows-how-many-point-inspection, mine consisted of 10 bucks CASH ONLY (records anyone?), and the lady asked "any cracks in your windshield?" "Nope." "Okay the guy out there already put the sticker on."

Just a personal experience

Why not go with a nice deep sound that's not abnoxously loud?

I had a Dynomax Super Turbo before and liked it. I now have a Flowmaster 50 series which is quite a bit louder. I have dual high output IMCO mufflers on my Scout II which are about the same as the 50 series in sound and burble when you let off the gas.

I have 1 more question on this exhaust. I have been wondering about just going with single exhaust with super 44 2.5'' or 3'' pipe out the back with my 5'' tips... Are duals louder on these trucks than single and which one will give me more tone? with a deeper tone. Thanks everyone for the help!

Duals ALWAYS sound better on a v8. If all you want is loud, a big single will get the job done. However I find the tone that comes from that type of setup to be obnoxious.
