Jack Points
2x6 board on the floor jack and put it right on the bottom of the u-bolts in the rear (the board is so I don't hose the threads on the u-bolts).
If I need to put the rear on jack stands I put the jack directly on the shock mounts and don't worry about a board. Then I put the stands in between the u-bolts.
4x4 or 2x6 board on the jack and put it right on the end of the lower control arm for the the front.

To clear things up I meant that I have a 4WD truck. For the rear, is it SAFE to use the shock mounts? I know I have hear about jacking over the u-bolts but I was gonna use the shock mounts. And in the front I really don't know where to put the jack because unless you jack on teh frame idk of anywhere thats safe. I like workin on my 2wd ford better lol
For the rear I put the jack to the inside of the u bolts and jack on the axle tube then put the jack stand under the u bolts. Just use the axle tube for you jack spots. This is not hard. See post #9
If you use a floor jack put the wood on top of the jacking pad(not my fav for jacking up a lifted truck), for a bottle jack put the wood under it(perfered).
Not the best pic but it will give you an idea on the front.

Nope, I had been driving the truck without that axle in and just a rag stuffed in the hole and it did leak. I changed the seals about 4 years ago when I put in the DL. It's drip free
You just want me to work on it some more right.
