Gotcha now what do you think the problem could be because it just started.... as soon as i put a 5 in it blew it so it has to be something that happened recently. Also i know this doesnt pertain to this but is there a way to adjust the neutral safety switch? because my reverse lights com on a little bit after the truck goes into reverse like in between neutral and reverse they will kick on if i hold the shifter there but shut off if i let go.

Grab the appropriate service manual for your truck from the faq section. (you want the 01 version) That will have wiring diagrams, so you can sort thru what all is on that circuit. Just start disconnecting things, one at a time, and see if the fuse still blows. When you disconnect something, and the fuse doesn't blow, the last thing disconnected is probably your culprit.

There will also be procedures for adjusting the neutral safety switch.
