Default Fuel Pump Relay

Everytime I turn off my truck, I keep burning the relay. The relay gets hot and burns out. Is this a sign my fuel pump is going bad?

Does the pump keep running after you shut off the truck?

I've not heard of a bad fuel pump burning out a relay. The fuel pump is downstream from the relay. You should be looking upstream from the relay.

I found the problem. My radio fuse has been shorting out. I had put foil paper on the fuse. My wipers, horn, fog lights went first n then the fuel pump relay. Removed foil paper n everything is good.
