I would love to check the fuel pressure, but getting the special tools, IE the special hose for 70 bucks from Miller tools, isn't an option for me at this time of year just to test pressure. Can't believe Dodge didn't install a test port!

What year is your truck? Mine has a test port....... You have the plastic fuel rail?

You can make a test hose for less than 20 bucks with parts from your local parts store.

97 and plastic rail.

I did pull the iam and clean it. No change.. will have to wait. Other things have sprung during all og this. Coolant leaking by pump and smoke in the vents that smell like antifreeze, smokey mist only noticed when fan is off and in the heat position. Smoke goes away instantly when shift heater cntl to cold. So think the heat core is bad too. What luck. Guess tuat is what i get for going to the desert two yrs in a row and letting it sit... Looks like will have to wait till after taxes to finish... This sucks...

As far as pulling the IAC and cleaning it, you could do a bit better by cleaning the the Throttle Body Real well where the IAC goes into, that helped mine alot. Just cleaning the IAC didn't fix it for me when I was having problems. Hope you get her running better soon.

still having issues with truck stalling for no known reason. I just installed a new IAC. waiting on a throttle body gasket. hoping this should fix it. the old I a c was fully extended.
I do have 1 question while I have the throttle body off, looking down into the intake I do see a light film of oil is this a sign of the plennum gasket just starting to leak

Pretty normal to have some in there. Look at the back corners of the intake though, and see if you are getting oil pooling back there. That's a sure sign of a blown plenum.

back corner on the outside of the intake or back corner on the inside the intake I don't see any oil on the outside of the intake
