If you have it set to the floor, compressor shouldn't run...... I think.

How does your cooling system look? Is it full? Is it clean?

The compressor should only cycle when the defroster is used. There was a thread a while back with the same issue. I can't find it and I don't recall the fix. Sorry

All I can think of is maybe the switch or blend motor is bad. So when you turn the **** to full hot, either one might be sending a signal that the dial is still on the blue(cold ) part of the dial. I searched for a half hour and could not find that thread. Damn. sorry again!

An easy way to tell, would be to unplug the pressure switch on the accumulator so the compressor won't kick on.

Would disconnecting pressure switch set a code? What about unplugging AC Comp Clutch connector?

No. There shouldn't be anything in the air conditioning that would set a code.

And for the OP try back flushing the heater core, I had to do that about a month ago for a neighbor to get his heat back.
