I'm not saying it's not going to work and I don't know if the air turbulence deal would even matter enough to amount to even one pony. The Fastman throttle body comes with button cap bolts for a reason (turbulence) so if hex head bolts will do it then I imagine that adapter would too.

Air turbulence over that really wont make much difference, especially when the air coming in is hot and already choppy from coming through the fan and over the motor. The filter does not spend enough time with the air to straighten it out, nore was it designed to.

The fact that the bar actually does hang over the bore, and is flat to the TB does restrict flow thru the bore, but only at WOT, and only if your engine can show 0 manifold vacuum at WOT and slightly positive with the bolt there. A scanner could verify of it's causing a problem or not. The 360 is more likely to have problems than the 318.

If you know what restrictor plate racing is, that's kind of what you're doing to a lesser degree.
