Just thought i'd share this for all who have done or are doing that old style air filter mod. I found today at my local pull a part that the ram vans have a factory adapter because they have the round intake on our style throttle body.
It bolts right in and the filter sits great on it no s bolt needed. Will post pic momentarily. Thought this may help someone, you all have helped me alot.
I think the older dakotas or maybe durangos had that too. I wouldn't run it just because of the air turbulence debate since it partially covers the holes in the throttle body. S bolts are easy to make with a short piece of 1/4-20 threaded rod.

Grand Cherokees have them too. I also agree with you regarding the turbulence that adapter would create.
Yeah like I said I just thought it was cool, I was at the yard like hey look! I won't have to make anything there is a oem part lol. S bolt works fine I just thought this was cool.
