Do you see a crack in the line? There typically isn't enough pressure to crack these lines. Check fittings at transmission to make sure they are tight.

Well, the brake and tranny hard lines were so rusty that I will replace all of them. I found a nice southern junker ram that I will swap tranny lines with tomorrow.

Make sure you blow out the lines and maybe flush with brake cleaner and blow again. Don't want to take a chance of any crap in the lines getting into your tranny or brake system.

i had a jeep grand Cherokee that came down to hard from a jump into a river and the front passenger side linkage pinched the tranny return line. i realized it when i lost all forward gears, i used some hydraulic tubing from ace hardware and 2 compression fittings. total cost in parts was about 3 bucks. i cut out the damaged line and put in the new, never had an issue with it.
