Default Vaccum Line and Antifreeze Leak

My first question is my AC or Heat only comes out of the defrost vents at any time. the only thing that i have found out of place is when i blow into the check valve on the passenger side of the intake it goes for a second then stops. Is this a problem? My other problem is i am losing coolant somewhere but i cant find my problem. I have no puddles on floor but i did notice that my driver side of the block is wet and something has leaked ironically onto the cooling lines halfway to the transmission and all the way down to the bottom the tranny pan.....

Leak is probably the freeze plug behind the engine mount. Clean everything off really good, drive it for a bit, then look for evidence.

Vents are all vacuum controlled. If you aren't getting adequate vacuum, they won't work quite right. Check for vacuum leaks, and don't forget there is a reservoir under the mesh on the cowl.

If the freeze plug is leaking, you need to replace it. It really isn't that bad of a job, though, be warned, it CAN be... erm.... messy. (don't EVEN ask)

At the base of the windshield, there is a 'mesh type grill' feller, under that is the air intake for the heater, and.... a vacuum reservoir. I think in order to get under there, you need to take off the wiper arms and such.

I think there are two check valves, one right by the intake manifold and one closer to the firewall. Should be able to blow through them one way only. They're not expensive at parts stores, if in doubt, I would replace them.

Here is a pretty informative thread about the check valves and related vac leaks.

I read the whole thread and have found some good things to check out about the A/C. My CV near the intake will blow freely one way and then for a second the opposite then it closes up..... Is it bad. Now i replace the line from my crankcase vent to the my AEM CAI and the PCV to the intake and my truck will idle rough then shut off if i rev it up and let off.

You just put on new rubber lines where the old ones were and put everything together as before, right? If so, shouldn't affect anything. Maybe you created a vacuum leak playing around with the vacuum lines and check valve. Could have cracked one of the hard vacuum lines, torn one of those little rubber connectors, etc. maybe.

I have the 2 separate holes on the valve covers and when i have the lines ran the way there supposed to driver side to CAI and passenger to manifold and it will not run worth a damn i connected the manifold port to the CAI and it runs perfect should i just stick on 2 those crankcase filters on the elbow on each side and call it a day?

The hollow black plastic elbow goes the air cleaner, the pcv valve goes to manifold.
