everything is fine but on way to work CEL pops on.. And to top it off for some reason none of the readers @ the auto stores pick up any info at all, like they cannot link..

1. is 160 triggering a code?
2. why will readers not work?

1996 Dodge 1500 5.2 thanks leo
Why did you install a 160* stat? That stat will also cause a low heat situation.

If I am understanding what I am reading a 160 isnt really a good idea to ever run with a computer controlled engine... I am far from an expert on that so maybe someone with more knowledge could chime in and correct me if I am wrong.

Correction -- In the earlier Rams, the CE light will blink in sequence: eg - *blink* *blink* *blink* *long pause* *blink* *blink* *blink* = "P303"

Yep. Just did it on my truck last weekend when the CEL came on. 0455 code, EVAP! GRRRRR.

But give it a try, you can test it even without a CEL.

Good to know. I still think if you have an android device, the $20 ELM327 readers on ebay work awsome to read and clear codes as well as see other real time data from the computer..
