If OP paid for this 10 days ago, and it was received by USPS on Dec 2 (yesterday) then it really isn't a USPS issure. Post office does a damn good job. The vendor should not have replied witha a "yes damn it we shipped" was disrespectful and inappropriate. Their customer service is crap. I would not buy from them with that kind of attitude. Angry bast*** wanted to rant about the government when the issue was their slow pick and ship at their end? Give me a break.

On more than one occasion I've had UPS run all over the western US with my packages before getting them to me. The worst case was 32 days in transit, though a few times it's been just two weeks or so on the scenic route. They're usually good about getting things to me very reliably one day late (next-day is two days, two-day is three, five days on the delivery time map takes six) but when they screw up they screw up like they mean it. I could've walked from Santa Ana, CA to here in 32 days!

I live in a relatively small town, on Park Dr. There is also Park Street, Park Place, and a few other 'parks'..... I frequently get calls from delivery personnel asking me where in hell I live, as they can't even find something CLOSE to the right house number..... I just chuckle, and give them proper directions.

When I was doing the EBAY thing, I used UPS exclusively, as I only had one problem with them. I shipped a set of four corvette wheels, and only two made it to the destination..... (they were all in one box... neat trick eh?) After contacting their 'lost and maybe found'.... chatting with them a couple times, and eventually sending them pics of what the wheels looked like, they found them, completed the delivery (seven days late....) and everyone was happy. Including the guy I sold the wheels to.

Are we having fun going off topic here? I am.

I'll admit that no package delivery service is perfect, I've had one bad experience with UPS, I ordered some cigars from CigarsInternational.com (located in Pennsylvania) last year in the middle of winter and it was delayed for 3 days due to adverse weather conditions, then it get's to the UPS DC in Tifton, Ga and is delayed again. Why? Adverse weather conditions.

I emailed UPS about it, was very frustrated. I understand the delay in the northern states, but there was NO snow, ice, rain, water, NOTHING. To delay delivery AFTER it had arrived in Ga.

I never got a response.

Other then that they're great.

All the technical jargon would get boring if we didn't get off topic every once and awhile

The USPS does a crappy job. Letters taking 5 days to get from one side of the city to another. Packages with rush delivery showing up late. Don't excuse the USPS for this as it's a common thing with them.

i ordered a trans go shift kit from wayne a couple of years ago. i waited two weeks and nothing ever came. called him up again and said he would send out another kit. which he did and it came a few days latter. Personally, I've never heard of so many "problems" with things getting lost with ups or even usps for that matter. i had a gut feeling then about it being "lost" and an even stronger one now, that someone in that shipping department is just not doing their job.
