Question oil leak on steering stabilizer

my stock steeing stabilizer has an oil leak on it but I cant seem to find where the leak is coming from. The strange thing is that the oil leak is on the underside of the steeing stabilizer thats the side that faces the ground.I have a pretty good size leak in my driveway everyday from it.Anyone know where this leak may be coming from?

are u sure it's motor oil? The seal on the stabilizer probably failed. Replace the stabilizer.

I think stabalizers are cheap, they are for jeeps anyway. I had that happen on my old xj, and I just replaced the whole thing.

Cheap single stabilizers: ~$25
Single steering stabilizers: ~$50
Dual steering stabilizers: ~$140

it looks like motor oil to me.so your saying the stabilizer has some sort of fluid in it?its pretty rusty anyway I didnt know there was a seal on it.im sure its been on the truck since it was new.do I have to go to the dealer to get the single stabilizer?Or does advanced auto or auto zone sell them?

Any decent parts store should fix you up for short money. I got the KYB stabilizer locally for $35 and it works fine on my 305 MTZ's.

Well IIRC, if the hydraulic fluid inside the stabilizer gets water in it, it turns brown. Then the seal on it breaks and the leak looks like motor oil. And yes as jimythefan said, you can get 'em anywhere...Advance, autozone, online, etc.

Might be a front main seal leaking, and dripping on it too......
