Hey i have a 96 ram 4 wheel drive and lately when i put the brakes on the driver side wheel shakes in and out real bad. you have to stop the truck to get it to stop. Could it be a tie rod end or ball joint? Thanks for any help.

Need to inspect ALL of your steering components, starting at the base of the column, and working your way to the wheels. Track bar, and wheel bearings as well. If you feel the shake thru the brake pedal as well, you also need to look at your rotors.... probably warped.

Say Hi to Pebbles for me.

Just to double check make sure your lug nuts are tight.

I don't think that would be it since you say it only happens when you press on the brake right, but it won't hurt to check.

Do as HeyYou said and inspect ALL your steering components. Also it would be wise to have a look at your brakes too, look over the pads check for uneven wear, and check out the caliper.
