it seems that some of the heat shields are in the way. ....... The heat shields are a pain to get out!
grab them with a pair of vise grips and rock/hammer them back and forth and throw the stupid things as far away as you can. use penetrating oil on the heat shield too if they're rusted in. don't get carried away on force if the plug is still inside.... you don't want to break a plug.
