Default idle dropping truck turning off not starting

the other day i picked my truck up from the shop it sat there for about 4 days probly wasnt started too much. so after i picked my truck up i was driving home and whenever i put pressure on the gas it sounded like my air vents stopped blowing as hard. id let go of of the gas and they would blow hard than apply pressure and they would soften (like the sound of them blowing. than my truck just died. I started the truck back up and drove fine no problem. was 4 days ago. from then till now had no problem. This morning i went to leave for work and got in my truck and started it i let it run for a min or two than put it in drive and made my way to work. after driving about ten minutes the air vents started to go from blowing normal to softer again than normal to softer again and the truck died once again. i when to start it but it would not turn over. after several attempts (which i took video of one or two trys) what i did was go to turn it over as i was trying to turn it over i would give it some gas and get the rpms to bout 2k to 3k and with out taking my foot of the gas pop it into drive and drive the truck. at the next light the truck stalled agin so i id the same thing got the rpms up to bout 2500 and popp it into drive than i turned the corner and made it to my job (i was damn near at work ) when i got to work i turned the truck off and made an attempt to restart it. it started no problem however after starting it the rpms dropped to a little under 500 whent to stall but than rpms came back to about 750 and it idled fine and did not stall. can someone please advise me on this. another thing is i cant seem to get any air flow from the vents on my dash board. the only air flow is by the vents ontop of the dash by the front window but not the ones by the radio and steering wheel. Thank You heres the video of trying to start it after it stalled this morning.. By the way my battery is a 25 with only 620 cold cranking amps I live in CT and it was cold this morning... im thinking battery but how would that effect my air vents???

You have a pretty serious vacuum leak for one. Also, sounds like time to clean throttle body, and IAC, if not replace IAC. Test TPS before buying parts though. Either will give pretty much the same symptoms. (aside from the vent problem.)

Check all your vacuum lines, and see if anything is disconnected. What you are seeing when you step on the gas, and your vents not blowing as hard, is the vents switching to the default position of defrost. (all the vents are vacuum powered. except the blend door, but, that one just controls air temp.) Check the "wild vents" thread in the FAQ section for more info on that.

IAC is on the back side of the Throttle body, TPS is on drivers side. Need to check output voltage of the tps, with an analog meter. (with a needle that sweeps a gauge.) Digital meters tend to be too random to give you a really good picture of what's going on. Output voltage should start around 1 volt at closed throttle, and progress SMOOTHLY to greater than 3.5 volts at WOT. If the reading bounces around at all, or either end is out of range, replace the tps.

Under the hood there should be an "emissions" sticker, that will show routing of all of your vacuum lines. Most of them are the hard plastic variety, that get brittle with age, and then disintegrate...... they are VERY easy to break on an old truck. Most of them are on the passenger side, toward the back of the engine. One runs down to the t-case as well. (but, bear in mind, there is another line that runs down there, that is open to atmosphere, it's a vent line, and is supposed to be like that. )

Grab a throttle body gasket before you tear into things. They are only a couple bucks at the parts store.

Can only check voltage if there is a supply. Keep in mind, it only wants five volts. You can do the same with resistance. Should go DOWN as you open the throttle. Easier just to check voltage with the sensor on the truck.
